Davis, who has spent the second half of the season on loan from Villa at the City Ground, has endeared himself with the Forest faithful during his 22 appearances there and it’s easy to see why just looking at his social media activity.
The 24-year-old scored five goals and provided three assists following his arrival as he helped the Reds charge up the Championship table and ultimately secure promotion back to England’s top flight for the first time since 1999.

Hide AdDavis will now return to Bodymoor Heath with his parent club Villa, where he will be assessed by Steven Gerrard to see what the next step in his future will be.
There’s no denying the forward absolutely loved his time in Nottinghamshire and would be open to a return to Forest and with the vast amount of attacking talent Villa have at their disposal - it certainly looks likely.
Gerrard did however state back in April that both Davis and Cameron Archer, who spent the second-half of the year with Preston, would only be available for permanent transfers moving forward.
