Aston Villa’s summer recruitment has cooled down a little over the last few weeks after a red-hot start.
The permanent arrivals of Philippe Coutinho, Boubacar Kamara, Diego Carlos and Robin Olsen all before July 1 set the Villans off on an incredible opening to the transfer window and whilst things have quietened, those four still aren’t expected to be the last.
Steven Gerrard is thought to want another man in each area of the pitch (goalkeeper aside) before September 1 and then some names will obviously need to head the other way too to complete part two of his Villa overhaul.
Morgan Sanson, Marvelous Nakamba and Kortney Hause are thee names straight off the bat that could move on in the next few weeks.
The Villa squad that travels to Bournemouth on August 6 is expected to look far different than the one that kicked off under Dean Smith at Watford last season.
So if all the transfer rumours do come true between now and that day, what could the squad look like in full?

17. SUB - Douglas Luiz
Another midfielder with the odd link to a move away but depending on who else moves out, I think it’s more likely he stays. | Getty Images

18. SUB - Leon Bailey
Had a disappointing first season at Villa Park due to injury troubles but will hope to bounce back next season. Still hard to see him dislodging either Coutinho or Buendia as a starter. | Getty Images

19. SUBS - Danny Ings
With Gerrard preferring the one up top option a lot of the time, Ings will have to settle for a place on the bench. | Getty Images

20. SUB - Ollie Watkins
Like Ings, if the Uruguay hitman’s signature is landed, Watkins will have to settle for a spot on the bench. Though, for the games that Gerrard opts for two up top - Watkins would likely be the partner. | Getty Images
