Aston Villa are ‘preparing’ to sell left-back Lucas Digne this summer, according to a report by Football Insider. They are open to offloading the defender in this window.
Digne, who is 31-years-old, joined them back in 2022 and is now facing an uncertain future.
The Frenchman made 46 caps for his country but hasn’t featured since 2022.
He played for Lille, PSG, Roma and Barcelona before moving over to England in 2018.

Hide AdDigne spent four years at Everton before Aston Villa came calling and he has since made 93 appearances in all competitions for his current side, chipping in with four goals.
He may well now be sold though and if he was to leave, funds would be freed up to potentially bring in players in other positions where required.
Left-back latest
Aston Villa may also ‘listen’ to offers for Alex Moreno over the coming weeks, as detailed in a report by BirminghamLive. He is under contract until June 2026.
He joined Emery’s side in January 2023 and has since played 48 matches altogether.

He was spotted in Spain earlier this summer fuelling speculation he could return to Real Betis. However, their sporting director Manu Fajardo was quick to pour cold water on the fire.
He said: "The situation experienced yesterday with Alex Moreno is anecdotal," he said, as per Marca. "It happened that Romain [Perraud] and Alex came from the same destination and shared a flight.
"Obviously in football we all know each other, there is a relationship of respect and confidence and we talk above all about personal issues."
