Villa are set for a transfer windfall this summer.

Matt Targett is to join Newcastle United on a permanent deal, according to the latest reports.

Targett impressed during a loan spell with the Magpies this season, and Eddie Howe wants to keep him around full-time.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is now close, with a £15million agreement between the two clubs.

Romano wrote: “Two full-back deals are now set to be completed and announced. Matty Targett will stay at Newcastle on a permanent deal after medical today.”

Wilson deal close

Villa are said to be closin gin on a deal for Rangers starlet Rory Wilson.

According to Football Insider, the Lions are now ‘closing in’ on a deal for the in demand youth striker.

Wilson has not played at senior level, but he netted 49 goals at youth level this season, and that has attracted a number of suitors.

According to the report, Villa have won the race, and they are expected to complete a deal.
