Aston Villa midfielder was ‘best value’ Premier League player in 21/22 with Chelsea & Arsenal men making up the list

Here’s the top 10 ‘best value’ Premier League goalscorers from the last campaign.

Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey was the ‘best value’ player in the Premier League over the course of the 21/22 season.

That’s according to Odds Scanner who have analysed the salaries of all of the division’s top scorers to see which player had the cheapest ‘cost per goal.’

For example, someone that earned a yearly salary of £1,000,000 and scored 10 goals would have cost £100,000 per goal they scored.

Prior to Ramsey’s well earned contract extension towards the back end of the campaign, the young midfielder was earning just £7,500 per week or £390,000 a year.

Whilst that of course is still a salary that us average folk can only dream of, in the world of a Premier League footballer - it’s near bottom of the barrel.

With that in mind, it’s easy to see how he became the ‘best value’ player in the division with six goals to his name.

But who else makes up the list?

We’ve drawn up the table of the top 10 to see who were getting the most bang for their buck throughout 21/22.
