Aston Villa player ratings vs Crystal Palace: Digne stars

Aston Villa played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

A goal from Ollie Watkins midway through the second-half looked to be enough to hand Villa all three points but Palace substitute Jeffrey Schlupp levelled things up with 10 to go.

It was a mixed bag of performances from those in the claret and blue but maybe the most disappointing outcome of all was the injury suffered to Ezri Konsa, with Steven Gerrard confirming that it’s “highly unlikely” the defender will play again this season.

Pulled off a couple of good saves, the one in the first-half from Clyne in particular.

2. Matty Cash - 6

Quiet from Cash though he should have had an assist to his name. A fizzing ball across the box midway through the second-half just needed any touch for a goal but he had no teammate on the end of it.
