Aston Villa’s final home game of the 2021/22 Premier League camapign ended all square as they drew 1-1 with relegation threatened Burnley.
Ashley Barnes gave the visitors the lead with a penalty right on the stroke of half-time before Emiliano Buendia levelled things up with an expertly taken finish right after the break.
Villa pushed for a winner and would have found one had it not been for some expert shot-stopping from Clarets goalkeeper, Tom Pope.

1. Emiliano Martinez - 7
A relatively quiet night but pulled off a couple of BIG saves towards the end. Always there when called upon. | Getty Images

2. Matty Cash - 6
Looked Villa’s most threatening outlet in the first half but faded. Buendia was raging towards the end of the game when he opted to shoot rather than play a ball into the box! | Getty Images

3. Tyrone Mings - 7
That block in the dying minutes was sensational. A proper captain’s block. Had a real good battle with Ashley Barnes too and came out on top most of the time. | Getty Images

4. Calum Chambers - 6
Dealt with the physical battle well all night and can’t be at fault for the goal. | Getty Images
