They return to the action this weekend against West Ham United at home.

Here is a look at the latest news coming out of the club...

Winger wanted elsewhere

Aston Villa‘s £8m winger Anwar El Ghazi is reportedly a wanted man before the end of the transfer window.

The attacker spent last season on loan with fellow top flight club Everton.

He is now on the ‘radar’ of Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV, according to a report by Voetbal International.

Ben Chrisene has completed a departure from Villa Park on a season-long loan deal.

The left-back, 18, has been given the green light to head out the exit door on a temporary basis to get some first-team experience under his belt.

He has linked up with Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock and will be looking to get plenty of game time under his belt this term.

Bailey feels like a ‘new signing’

It is safe to say that Leon Bailey didn’t make the impact he wanted to with Aston Villa in the last campaign.

He was brought in from Bayer Leverkusen last year but only managed to score one goal in 18 appearances in all competitons.

However, the Jamaica international is in confident mood at the moment and has told the club’s official website:

“Physically, I feel amazing.

“Last season was a really tough one for me because from the start of my time here at Villa I’ve had difficulties with my body – not because of here but a previous injury before I came.

“Everything started off wrong and I hope I can change that this season. I want to do what I know I can do. I feel like a new player, a new signing for Villa.”
