Aston Villa are already preparing for the new season after a memorable finish to their last.

Unai Emery managed to overhaul the club’s fortunes last season, securing a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifiers, and the club have matched the Spaniard’s ambition so far this summer, signing the likes of Youri Tielemans and Pau Torres. Villa have money to spend, and they may not be done there as they prepare to return to Europe.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Villa Park.

De Ketelaere bid

Villa are said to have made a bid to sign AC Milan star Charles De Ketelaere.

De Ketelaere went into last season as one of the most highly rated youngsters in Europe, joining AC Milan from Club Brugge, but he hasn’t managed to establish himself as a key player at San Siro. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Villa now want to sign the forward, and they are said to have made a £21.5million bid.

According to the report, Milan are said to want £25.7million for the young Belgian, but the two teams are now very far apart in their valuations.

Felix latest

Villa continue to be linked with a move for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix, but they remain an outside option.

According to Marca, Atletico want to get rid of record signing Felix this summer after the Portuguese fell out with Diego Simeone last season, leading to his loan to Chelsea. Felix is a big earner, and he has been linked with Villa, but the report claims Champions League football will be at the top of the forward’s wishlist, and he may prefer a move to Paris Saint-germain.

But Felix may not get his wish this summer, and Villa may be a back-up option, most likely to propose a loan move.
