Aston Villa’s start to the 2022-23 season has been hit and miss with Steven Gerrard’s side losing two of their opening three Premier League games, while winning their League Cup second round tie against Bolton Wanderers.
Villa sit 13th in the table ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Ham United, who are without a win in the league.

Villa’s offensive display in the league has also been underwhelming with only three goals scored so far this season.

Gerrard has bolstered his squad with four first team summer signings, with Coutinho and Robin Olsen’s loan deals being made permanent, while the Villa boss splashed the cash on Diego Costa and brought in Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer.

Finn Azaz - Plymouth Argyle
The 21-year-old midfielder has been Plymouth Argyle’s best performer, according to SofaScore with an average rating of 7.34 after their opening five league games.

Viljami Sinisalo - Burton Albion
The Finnish Under-21 international joined Burton Albion on a season-long loan last month and has featured in three games so far for the Brewers.
He is yet to keep a clean sheet during his loan spell, conceding seven goals so far, including four against Accrington Stanley in his debut.


Louie Barry - Milton Keynes Dons
The forward is yet to open his account for the League One club and is averaging a rating of 6.3 in League One., as per SofaScore. He has completed 78% of attempted dribbles in the club’s opening five league games.
Wesley - Levante

Hide AdThe Brazilian has been away on loan from Villa since January last year having joined Internacional on until July 22 before switching his temporary stay to Levante.
He has only made two appearances so far for the latter mentioned team and will be hoping to score his first goal for the club, if selected, against Tenerife on Saturday.
Jaden Philogene-Bidace - Cardiff City


The England U20 international joined the Championship side at the backend of last month and had been ever present since then, featuring in four of their five league games as well as their League Cup first round loss to Portsmouth.
He scored his only goal of the campaign so far in his first start for the Bluebirds in their 1-0 win over Birmingham City on August 13.
Aaron Ramsey - Norwich City
