Reports today have claimed Villa could be an outsider to land Benfica sensation Darwin Nunez.

The 22-year-old front-man is in demand ahead of this summer, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United said to be interested.

According to 90min, Villa could also be interested, though it’s believed it will take around £65million to land Nunez this summer.

Atletico’s Cash interest ‘serious’

Atletico Madrid’s interest in Villa star Matty Cash has been described as ‘serious’.

The La Liga giants are said to be keen to turn to Cash to replace Kieran Trippier, who joined Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

Speaking about Atleti’s links with Cash, journalist Peter O’Rourke told Give Me Sport: “The interest from Atletico Madrid is serious.

“He is among their top targets to fill the void left by Kieran Trippier’s departure to Newcastle.”
