Villa have been linked with a move for Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in recent weeks.

The midfielder is expected to be offloaded this summer, a year before his contract expires.

According to recent reports, Villa are one of the clubs chasing a deal for the former Arsenal star, but Express journalist Ryan Taylor is not so sure.

He told GiveMeSport: “I do think that’s one they could potentially look at, but I don’t think there’s anything concrete in any links to Oxlade-Chamberlain at the moment, to be honest.

“I think it is very much premature and maybe Liverpool trying to drive up interest in the player.”
