In the meantime, let’s take a look at all the latest Villa transfer rumours:
Wilson boost
Villa are said to be leading the way to sign Rangers prospect Rory Wilson.
Wilson has been heavily linked with a move away from Ibrox in recent days, with Liverpool and Manchester United battling to land the talent before he pens his first professional contract.

Coutinho wage help
Villa’s attempts to land loan star Philippe Coutinho are continuing.
The club do have a £34million option to buy in the Brazilian’s loan deal, but his wages could be a big problem.
According to Mundo Deportivo, however, Coutinho may be willing to reduce his wages to make the move to Villa Park.
That could be a big boost for Gerrard, as he looks to snap the midfielder up permanently as well as strengthen in other areas.
