Aston Villa have had a bid accepted from Wolverhampton Wanderers for their Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker.
The claret and blue submitted an offer that includes €15m guaranteed for the 27-year-old amid fears that Douglas Luiz could leave the club for current Premier League leaders, Arsenal and it’s one that the gold and black have now accepted.

Dendoncker has been linked with a move to both Villa and West Ham United over the last 24 hours but growing interest in a midfielder of their own, Luiz, saw the claret and blue ramp up their efforts for the Wolves man.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, nothing had been accepted on the Wolves end around an hour ago, however, that all changed very quickly.
“Aston Villa have made an offer to Wolves for Leander Dendoncker,” Ornstein wrote via his Twitter page.
“Proposal for 27yo Belgium int’l midfielder is €15m guaranteed. Not accepted yet - will depend whether #WWFC can agree fee for replacement, most likely Boubacar Traore.”

Dendoncker wouldn’t be seen as a like-for-like replacement for Luiz should the Brazilian leave Villa Park as Steven Gerrard still remains keen to keep the former Manchester City player in the West Midlands.
However, Arsenal’s added interest in the situation has certainly ramped up Villa’s efforts to bring in a new face and now a deal for Dendoncker has been confirmed - it would come as no surprise to see Luiz allowed to leave.
