They were beaten 1-0 at home by West Ham United in their last match.

Here is a look at the latest news coming out of the club....

Winger heading out the exit door

Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi is reportedly poised to head out the exit door.

He was shipped out on loan to fellow Premier League side Everton last term and has fallen out of favour at Villa Park.

Ajax have now ‘reached an agreement’ to land him, as reported by Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf.

Rivals make move for linked player

Wolves have apparently made a move to sign Villa-linked Jason Denayer.

The defender is currently a free agent after leaving French side Lyon earlier this summer and Mundo Deportivo reported that he was on Gerrard’s radar.

However, Midlands rivals Wolves have now lodged an ‘approach’ for him according to a report by the Express and Star.

Leicester City are said to have joined Aston Villa in the race for West Ham United defender Craig Dawson.

The former Rochdale and West Bromwich Albion man has been with the Hammers since 2020 and has been a regular for them over the past two years under David Moyes.

Reporter Alan Nixon claims on his Patreon that the Foxes will ‘rival’ Villa for his signature between now and the end of the window.
