Aston Villa have confirmed the deadline day departure of a rising academy star and England age group international.
19-year-old winger Kadan Young, who has made two EFL Cup appearances for the Villans and has been capped by England up to Under-19 level, has joined Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp on loan until the end of the season.

Young signed a long-term contract extension in September and is regarded by the club hierarchy as a bright prospect for the future. Young becomes the tenth player to leave Villa Park over the winter in a transfer window.
Young gets chance to shine at senior level
Erdington-born Young, who turned 19 in January, signed for Aston Villa as a scholar in 2018 and has been with the club ever since, making his senior debut in the 2-1 EFL Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers earlier this season.
He has also represented the Three Lions at every age group from Under-16 to Under-19, and has scored one goal in six appearances for his current age-level national team.
By signing for Royal Antwerp on a short-term basis he will get the chance to shine for a team currently battling for European qualification. Antwerp currently sit fourth in the Belgian top flight, 14 points behind league leaders Genk but in good position to qualify for continental competition.

Ten leave Villa Park across transfer window
Young joins a number of other players in leaving Aston Villa over the course of the transfer window, with teenage defender Kosta Nedeljkovic joining RB Leipzig on deadline day in an initial loan move which includes an option to buy.
Samuel Iling-Junior, who signed from Juventus in the summer as part of the deal which took Douglas Luiz to Turin, has also left the club on loan and has joined Championship side Middlesbrough for the remainder of the campaign. Lewis Dobbin, Sil Swinkels and Emiliano Buendia have also left Villa Park on a temporary basis.
Perhaps more notably, three players have left on permanent deals, including Jhon Duran and Jaden Philogene. The club are however hoping to complete at least one more deadline day deal after the arrivals of key targets Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, with a deal for Axel Disasi still in the pipeline despite a number of setbacks.
