Hide AdThe Sun’s Alan Nixon has revealed Villa are open to allowing the England Under-21 striker to leave the club this summer amid interest from several clubs in the second tier.
However, any move could be dependent on the buying club agreeing to a potential buy back clause in the deal. That would replicate the conditions sporting director Monchi has reportedly put in place for Aaron Ramsey’s prospective £12million move to Premier League newcomers Burnley.
Archer was an unused substitute in Saturday’s defeat against Newcastle United but did feature during Villa’s preparations for the new Premier League season. However, his immediate future could lie away from Villa Park as a number of clubs in the Championship and Sheffield United consider a move for his services. Any potential move from either club could depend on the progress of the Blades’ bid to sign Boro striker Chuba Akpom, who was also the subject of a rejected bid from French club Lens earlier this week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering a move for former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos as they look to replace Nathan Collins.
The Republic of Ireland centre-back left Molineux last month after agreeing a £22million move to Premier League rivals Brentford and that has left a significant hole in the Wolves defence. A number of options are said to be under consideration and The Sun have reported Stuttgart defender Mavropanos is high on the list. The 22-year-old is also the subject of interest from Napoli and West Ham United - and one journalist has already given his backing for a Wolves move for the defender.
Journalist Dean Jones gave an update on any potential move for the Greek defender, telling Football FanCast: “Mavroponos is an interesting target and if they could pull it off I think many would look at it as an upgrade on Collins.

The communication around transfers has been pretty bad and obviously Lopetegui could not handle that anymore. Wolves need some good news soon so it would not surprise me if they somehow push the boat out to land a signing on the back of this managerial mess.”
