Hide AdKamara is out of contract at the end of this season, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Villa are interested.
But there is intense competition for his signature, with Atletico Madrid and Manchester United both said to be interested.
According to The Telegraph, Atleti made a bid to sign him in January, and they could make a fresh move in the summer.
Ndidi update
Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has been linked with a move to Villa Park this summer amid contract issues with the Foxes.
Ndidi is said to want new terms, but reports from Nigeria claim Leicester have not started any talks.
Crucially, though, it’s reported Villa have not made any contact over a potential transfer.
