Birmingham Phoenix’s men’s and women’s teams played against Oval Invincibles at The Hundred in London.
Birmingham Phoenix’s men’s team won the match against Oval Invincibles on 23 August while the women’s team lost after giving a tough competition at The Oval.
Oval Invincibles women won by one wicket while Birmingham Phoenix men won by 10 runs. It was a good day for cricket and families to have fun as they watched this relatively new short format of cricket.
The Hundred promises to deliver entertainment with sports and music to the audience, and it was a spectacular day of cricketing entertainment.
While there are many critics of this new format, it is meant to capture the attention of audiences who cannot commit to watching days or several hours of the sport.
Bambi Bains performed on 23 August at the venue while team DJs were also present. Birmingham’s team DJ is 2NV, who has been recently presenting on the BBC Asian Network.
