Passionate singer-songwriter Sam Fender has taken the music world by storm in recent years, and following on from the success of his second album ‘Seventeen Going Under’ the 27-year-old has hit the road once again.

The tour was announced at the end of 2021, and is already well underway with tickets selling fast.

When does Sam Fender play in Birmingham?

The Geordie rockstar began his UK wide tour in Liverpool on 21 March, and is due to play at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on 27 March.

This is the fourth date of Fender’s UK tour.

Where else is Sam Fender playing?

The ‘Seventeen Going Under’ UK and Ireland tour has nine dates in seven cities.

The Birmingham date comes the day after a show in Glasgow, with the next date being in Brighton.

How do I get tickets to the Birmingham concert?

Tickets for the gig have sold very quickly, but some are available on ticket selling websites.

On Viagogo, tickets are on sale starting at £70.

Tickets through the official Utilita Arena Birmingham website have sold out, but fans can sign up to Twickets to receive alerts on anyone potentially selling their tickets to the gig.

Who is supporting Sam Fender?

Supporting Sam Fender during the entirety of the UK tour is south London post-punk band ‘Goat Girl’.

The band have released two albums, including their debut self titled album which the band brought out in 2018.

Three years later, in 2021, their second record ‘On All Fours’ was released.

It is expected that they will perform from 7.30pm to 8.15pm in Birmingham, with Sam Fender due to take to the stage at approximately 8.45pm.

Who is Sam Fender?

Originally from North Shields, a coastal town near Newcastle, Sam Fender released his debut single ‘Play God’ in March 2017.

Two more singles followed later in 2017 as did tour dates with Bear’s Den and Declan McKenna.

In November 2018 Fender released the EP ‘Dead Boys’ which also featured ‘Poundshop Kardashians’ and ‘Spice’.

In his relatively short yet explosive career, Sam Fender has already picked up many accolades.

These include two Brit Awards and Best Album by a UK Artist and Best Album in the World at the 2022 NME Awards.

Fender has released two albums, firstly ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ in 2019 which was followed in 2021 by ‘Seventeen Going Under’

For the video on his track ‘Spit of You’ which features on ‘Seventeen Going Under’, Fender’s dad was played by Line of Duty actor Stephen Graham.
