The scariest time of year, Halloween, is almost upon us again - and that means it’s time to start thinking about costumes for the kids

Every year on October 31st, we’re encouraged to transform ourselves in to a spooky character and enjoy some ghoulish games with friends.

Whether your little ones are planning a party with friends, a trick or treating trip with siblings, or a family film night, they’re going to want to look their best - and by best we mean most beastly. Although, we understand that not every child likes to be frightened so we’ve also included some choices for little ones who would rather look cute than creepy.

Here’s our round-up of the best children’s Halloween costumes on the market right now.

If you want options for adults, these are the most popular adult Halloween costumes for this year and also even more adult fancy dress outfits for Halloween which can be delivered quickly and in time for the biggest and creepiest day of the year.

To make sure your home is ready to haunt your guests too, make sure you take a look at our round-up of the best indoor and outdoor Halloween decorations.

Unsurprisingly, given the huge success of the Netflix series Wednesday, which was released in late 2022, Wednesday Addams is a character kids want to dress up as this Halloween. So, we're giving you two costume options.

The first is Wednesday's classic look, and comes complete with a Wednesday Addam's style wig. This is the gothic everyday dress that everyone thinks of when you imagine Wednesday Addams, so your child would be instantly recognisable as her even without the wig - but we love that the wig is inclused in the package as her hair do is also iconic.

Available in sizes 4 to 12 years and priced at £19.99 to £27.99 depending on the size.

Those who have watched the Netflix series Wednesday will know that Jenna Ortega's version of the misfit child has a very special dress or the school dance. Of course it's still dark and gothic, inkeeping with Wednesday's signature look, but it's also very glamorous and sophisticated. This dress is an exact replica of that dress - and it's beautiful.

If you haven't seen the series, we recommend you do watch it (as long as it's age appropriate for your child). Available in child sizes from age 3 and above, and also adult sizes, so there's no need for you to be envious of your child with this one.
