Exact date Tettenhall Pool and Wolverhampton splash park will close for winter

Tettenhall Pool will be closing for the summer on Monday(14) and will be drained for its usual winter shut down.

The splash pad at East Park will also close on Monday.

A spokeswoman for Wolverhampton Council said: “It was lovely to see so many visitors this year, we hope you had fun.”

The summer of fun at the outdoor pool did not go without incident this year. The pool was evacuated on June 22 after reports of people pouring bleach into the water. West Midlands Police were called to the scene.

On May Bank Holiday Monday (May 25) an ambulance was called to the pool after reports of disorder.

On arrival the service found a man and a woman who were both treated for injuries, not believed to be serious, and then were transported to hospital.
