Wolverhampton cleaning king's mission leaves grubby West Midlands road signs sparking clean
Danny has been spotted tidying up messy street signs around the West Midlands as he does his part to encourage care for the community.
A wolverhampton cleaner has been busy scrubbing dirty road signs across the Black Country and Staffordshire in his bid to tidy up our communities.
Window Kings Cleaning Services owner Danny Thorton, aged 40, has been on his road sign cleaning crusade for around two years in an attempt to spread awareness around taking care of our community, and to make the roads a bit safer for those who use them.
Around two years ago, Danny launched the ‘OneCleanAtATime’ scheme, an initiative that sees him pull over any time he sees a dirty sign to give it a free clean, leaving it spic and span.

The cleaner posts the videos to his social media pages, often with words of encouragement, encouraging us all to take an active interest in the cleanliness of our community.
Talking about the initiative, Danny said: “I’ve been doing it for around two years now, through Window Kings Cleaning Services, I started a community initiative called ‘OneCleanAtATime’

“While I’m out and about, if I come across a dirty road sign, I’ll pull over and give it a good clean.

“Every sign cleaned helps to make our roads safer, while also making our community look brighter, cleaner and more cared for.”
Over the two-year period, the King of Cleaners said he spruced up hundreds of road signs, including those across Wolverhampton, Cannock, and everywhere in between, using his 15 years of cleaning experience to make the signs gleam once more.
He said: “Over the past two years, I must have cleaned hundreds of road signs across Wolverhampton, Cannock and the surrounding areas.

“It started as just one road sign, but it's grown into a bit of a movement that our local people now support.”
Danny said that he believes that ‘even the smallest actions’ can lead to big changes, and that if everyone did ‘one small thing’ for their community, then we could all make ‘a real difference’.
He said: “Community support is something I’m very passionate about.

“I believe in giving back whenever I can; even the smallest actions can lead to big changes.
“If we all do one small, positive thing for our community, together we can make a real difference.”
Through the initiative, and with the support of the public, the cleaner also raised more than £500 for the Alzheimer’s Society, showing just what the community can do when we come together.
The cleaner regularly posts his cleaning initiative to his Window Kings Cleaning Services page, asking everyone to get involved in his cleaning crusade.
