The Met Office has warned of “some disruption”

The Met Office has issued a three-day snow warning for Birmingham this morning (Wednesday, January 1).

The yellow warning is in place between 12pm on Saturday, January 4 and 9am on Monday, January 6.

The warning says: “There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.

“There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off.

“There is a chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail or air travel.”

As of Wednesday morning, the Met Office has not issued any warnings for Tuesday, January 7.
