The Met Office issued an amber weather warning for snow and ice covering the West Midlands. It is in place from 6pm on Saturday to Sunday night.

Temperatures are expected to drop between 0 degrees and -1 degrees at the weekend. In Birmingham, temperatures are also expected to range between 0 degrees and 5 degrees on Sunday (January 5). Forecasters believe the region could see 5cm of snow this weekend across the region.
