The new West Midlands Railway station that takes just 23 minutes to get to Birmingham
West Midlands Railway is shining a spotlight on one of its new stations for 2026
Willenhall's new railway station is giving residents a long-awaited rail connection, with trains offering a direct link to Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
The station provides a free car park and covered bike storage, giving passengers several options for reaching the railway.

For those travelling into Birmingham, trains from Willenhall take approximately 23 minutes, while Wolverhampton can be reached in around seven minutes.
The station is located within Transport for West Midlands Zone 5 and is served by one train per hour from Monday to Saturday.
The opening marks an important improvement for transport connections in Willenhall. The new station, alongside nearby Darlaston station, welcomed its first passengers in March 2026, following the completion of construction.
The return of rail services is expected to give local residents another option for travelling towards major centres such as Birmingham and Wolverhampton, potentially making commuting and leisure journeys easier.
For West Midlands passengers, the new station represents another step in expanding rail connections across the region and providing communities with greater access to the wider network.
