Extensive searches for into ‘human remains’ near great Barr continue for third day

A large-scale search operation is continuing into its third day after human remains were discovered on Cuckoos’ Nook in Walsall, near Great Barr, on Saturday 4th June. Fire crews have been assisting forensics with the search dog team also present on scene.

Ten ‘Birmingham City fans’ sought by police following match-day disorder

West Midlands Police have shared an appeal to identify ten men in relation to disorder at a Birmingham City match last season. The game which took place on the 30th January at Derby’s Pride Park Stadium saw significant disorder. Derbyshire police say the men are understood to be Birmingham City fans and are keen to speak to them.

Johnny Depp wows fans in Birmingham

Johnny Depp has been in Birmingham, and on Sunday night hired out the Varanasi on Broad Street for a £50,000 meal. The Owner, Muhammad Hussain, said the star enjoyed it so much he ordered the same again to take back to his hotel room, before leaving the a large tip for the staff.
