Concert for Ukraine raises millions

Tuesday evening’s Concert for Ukraine at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham raised more than £12 million for the humanitarian effort in the war torn nation. The concert featured the likes of Ed Sheehan as well as the country’s 2016 Eurovision song contest winner.

Loaded gun found in Perry Barr

A loaded gun which was stashed in Wilton Lane Gardens in Perry Barr has been seized by police. The antique revolver was loaded with six bullets. The gun will be forensically examined to see if it can be linked to any shootings in the West Midlands and beyond.

Sandwell Council submits regeneration plans

Major regeneration plans have been submitted to the government by Sandwell Council which would bring into development new roads, urban greening and education centres. The government has already approved three projects including the ‘digital den’ in West Bromwich. The new plan would see thirteen new projects across the region.
