Woman found dead near West Midlands railway line - police investigation under way
Police are investigating the circumstances
A woman was found dead on the railway tracks near Berkswell railway station.
Officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to her death.
The incident had caused disruption to travel between Birmingham International and Coventry for several hours on Sunday (September 13).
A British Transport Police spokesperson said:
“Officers were called to the line near Berkswell railway station at 09.03am (13 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances leading up to her death.”
