Teenager arrested after boy, 15, is stabbed in Sutton Coldfield

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition following the incident

A teenager has been arrested after another teenager was stabbed in Sutton Coldfield yesterday (2 January).

A fight broke out on Park Road at around 5.30pm and spilled onto Garrod Gardens and Fawdry Close, West Midlands Police said.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested this morning on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody. A 15-year-old boy is currently in hospital in a stable condition.

A statement from the force, read: “A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. A 16-year-old boy was arrested this morning on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

Local officers will be carrying out patrols in the area and around the park to offer reassurance to the local community.
