Woman suffers injuries during suspected kidnap in Balsall Heath, Birmingham

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and possession with intent to supply cannabis after a woman was seen in distress in Balsall Heath, Birmingham.

West Midlands Police were alerted after the woman was seen being forced back into a car after she tried to exit the vehicle which stopped on Vincent Street. Witnesses attempted to help her as the car drove off into George Street.

Inquiries by officers have led police to identify the woman who, they said, suffered minor injuries during the incident. Officers arrested two men, aged 27 and 24, on Tuesday (January 2). A spokesperson for WMP said: “They have been questioned and released on police bail while our enquiries continue.”
