Sharon Osbourne made an emotional return to Birmingham on Wednesday night (January 24) during her live stage show at the Alexandra Theatre.

During the show, Sharon discussed the hardest years of her life, and her at times difficult relationship with Ozzy, as well as her TV career. Sharon became emotional during the show as she revealed that Ozzy wants to 'say goodbye' to his fans properly after he retired from touring this year. Sharon revealed that the Black Sabbath frontman is set to play a goodbye show at Aston Villa's stadium. She said the show is scheduled to take place in the summer.

Sharon also discussed the Ozzy museum which is set to open in Birmingham. During an audience question which asked when the museum will open, Sharon said she believes it will open its doors 'within the next 18 months'.

Sharon didn't confirm where exactly the museum will open in the city, although a Home of Metal Black Sabbath exhibition was held at the the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in 2019.

The former America's Got Talent judge confirmed in October last year during The Osbournes Podcast that plans were underway for an Ozzy memorabilia museum in the city where he grew up. There have been calls in recent years for a permanent museum to honour the Prince of Darkness. The 2019 exhibition, which was held by the Home of Metal community project, honoured Birmingham’s influence on the heavy metal genre by producing a three month programme of exhibitions and activities. Sharon said the museum will also have a joint cafe and there are plans for a music school to open alongside it. She added that people will be able to 'see all of Ozzy’s accolades [and ]everything from his past'.
