Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she is looking to finalise plans to open a new Ozzy Osbourne museum in Birmingham.

Sharon confirmed in October last year during The Osbournes Podcast that plans were underway for an Ozzy memorabilia museum in the city where he grew up, following the success of the Black Sabbath exhibition in 2019. There have been calls in recent years for a permanent museum to honour the Prince of Darkness.

The 2019 exhibition, which was held by the Home of Metal community project, honoured Birmingham’s influence on the heavy metal genre by producing a three month programme of exhibitions and activities.

Now, in an interview with the BBC ahead of her live stage show at Birmingham's Alexandra theatre called Sharon Osbourne: Cut the Crap, Sharon said she is hoping to open the Ozzy museum as well as a music school in Birmingham.

"You can come and see all of Ozzy’s accolades [and]everything from his past," she told the BBC. Sharon also recently told the Mirror that Ozzy wants to perform his final shows in Birmingham. She said: "We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from."

He revealed he had a blood clot filter removed from one of his arteries and has also been battling Parkinson’s disease. Sharon said: "When he’s dreaming, he never dreams he’s in LA, he always dreams he’s in Birmingham."
