Recently, we’ve had a look at the famous faces - actors, musicians and even politicians - who were raised in and around Birmingham. Now, we’ve decided to take a look at the famous celebrities who were born in nearby Redditch.
Many famous celebs were born just outside of Birmingham in Redditch and grew up in the area. Today, Redditch is known for its roads and its many, many roundabouts - 41 in total - but there are also a number of high profile famous people who call the north Worcestershie town their home.
With this in mind, we’ve taken a look at the most famous people who born in the town.

1. Harry Styles
Arguably the biggest pop star in the world in 2023, former One Direction singer Harry Styles may have been brought up in Cheshire, but he was born in Redditch. The Grammy winner moved from the Worcestershire town when he was a child | Getty

2. Charles Dance
Legendary British actor Charles Dance OBE has appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters over the years, including Alien 3, Godzilla, Ladies in Lavender as well as TV dramas such as Game of Thrones. Dance was also born in Redditch before moving to Plymouth | Getty Images for SXSW

3. John Bonham
The Led Zeppelin drummer was also born in Redditch and grew up in the town. He attended Lodge Farm Secondary Modern School in the town before rising to fame with the band | Getty Images

4. Russell Brookes
Brookes (pictured in the rally car above) won the British Rally Championship in 1977 and in 1985. In 1978, he won the Rally New Zealand, a round of the FIA Cup for Drivers, the predecessor to the World Championship for Drivers | Getty Images
