Red Arrows and Spitfire flypast less than 60 minutes from Birmingham this weekend - how to see them
The anticipated display is taking place at the East Midlands Aeropark, which is only a 55 minute drive from Birmingham
To mark the 60th anniversary of East Midlands Airport's opening, there will be an air show which will feature a flypast of the Red Arrows and a Spitfire.

This will occur over the East Midlands Aeropark this Sunday (20th July). While this may seem to be quite a distance, many Birmingham residents have been enthused by the recent Lancaster bombers flypast over the weekend. Therefore, residents need not worry as this event is only a 55 minute drive away from the West Midlands capital.
While the exact timing is yet to be confirmed, the Aeropark will be hosting a fun weekend to mark its anniversary with plenty of activities and food from 10am to 6pm.
The Red Arrows are the Royal Air Force's (RAF) aerobatic display team. They are known for their outstanding formation flying shows with coloured smoke and their precise flying and are based at RAF Waddington.
Admission is free for children under five, £3 for children aged five to sixteen, and £5 for adults. Cash or a card or contactless can be used to purchase tickets on the day.
