It will offer everyday essentials such as groceries, drinks and snacks that shoppers love, as well as revamped health and beauty, entertainment, stationery and craft ranges. The store has been designed for maximum convenience and to allow customers to do more of their shopping in a single trip.

It will join the growing number of Poundland stores, now across half of the portfolio, to sell chilled and frozen food, from desserts and ice-cream to ready meals and pies and from cooked meats to frozen vegetables.

One of the big advantages of frozen food when household budgets are under pressure is that they enable customers to save money and reduce waste.

Poundland Castle Bromwich will also offer a large selection of Pep clothing for the whole family –as well as Pep home items. It will open on 8 April 2023 at 8.00am.

Poundland director of retail, Darren Kay, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors on Timberley Lane and we know from talking to people in Castle Bromwich that shoppers are looking forward to the opening of our second store.

“Our new store will be a cracking example of the breadth of what we can offer in a convenient location.  We’ll be working hard to bring the best of Poundland and just like all our stores, it will offer amazing value every day to customers looking to beat the economic squeeze.”
