Car crashes into Poundland, Birmingham injuring two people

A car collided with a pedestrian before crashing into a shop in Longbridge, Birmingham today (October 4). The shop into which the car collided was reportedly the Poundland store on the High Street.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called at 11.41am and two ambulances attended the scene.

They added: “On arrival we discovered two patients. The driver of the car, a man, was treated for a suspected medical episode before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. The pedestrian, a woman, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to the same hospital.”
