10 pictures of Queen Elizabeth II in Birmingham ahead of her Platinum Jubilee; including her tour of the tram

Queen Elizabeth II is the first British Monarch to mark 70 years on the throne, and later this week we will be celebrating her Platinum Jubilee.
In light of the upcoming royal milestone, the government has given us all a four day bank holiday weekend from Thursday, 2 June to Sunday, 5 June.
Roads will be closed, street parties will be in full swing and celebratory events will be taking place across the whole of Birmingham - including a beacon lighting ceremony.
To reflect on the long reign of Her Majesty, BirminghamWorld have put together ten pictures of The Queen during past visits to Birmingham.
In 2012, The Queen did a tour of England to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. On her visit to Birmingham in the July, crowds gathered at Victoria Square to show their support.
She was presented with a gift on behalf of the city, by the Chair of the Birmingham Assay Office, Ms Kay Alexander - as thousands waved their Union Jack flags.
In November 2015, Her Majesty officially open the refurbished New Street Station following its £750 million-pound refurbishment.
She met with Network Rail trainees, laid a wreath at the Pals War Memorial to rail workers and had a tour of a tram on the Metroline Tramline Extension where she chatted to senior driver Derek Taylor.
In that same rainy trip, she visited the Birmingham Hospital and School of Dentistry - where she was given a tour by Tracey Taylor, the Head of the NHS Trust, before officially opening the building.
Phil Murphy also made sure to show her of the teaching hospital’s Phantom Heads, which are used to train dentists.
See the ten pictures, chosen by BirminghamWorld, of the well dressed Monarch in the city over the years.
