Watch: The best and worst things about living in Northfield in Birmingham
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
It's a fairly leafy and suburban area of Birmingham, which just over 10,000 people call home. I went along to speak to a few of the residents about what life is like for the people who live here - and the best and worst things about life here in Northfield.

Rebecca says: “Northfield is good but the only downfall is there's not much for young kids to do around here. You've got like a park and Treasure Island down the road but apart from that there isn't anything else to do. I've got four young kids myself and I do struggle to find things in the local area for them to do.”

Kristine says: “It has gone downhill recently in the past five years. The people are quite nice, nice to talk to, easygoing but the one thing I don't really understand about Northfield is that they have a Northfield beach every single six-week holiday and there's not a lot in Northfield for the community.
“Like people with their mental health issues, people who are on drugs, who are on alcohol, depression, anxiety and I think the government just needs to put more money into the community. “

Terry says: “I was born and brought up in Northfield. I had some fantastic memories there as a kid. I did. It's obviously changed, well society's changed in general. I live in Bartley Green now so I get down to Northfield when I have to. I still love the place. When I come down with the wife we pop and have a pint in the Black Horse.“
Northfield is a place with a rich history that is definitely worth learning about. Nowadays it remains a desirable area in the city for many, bordering both Worcestershire and the Bournville Model Village.
