Ozzy Osbourne’s family, friends react to his Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony performance

Black Sabbath’s lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne gave a powerful performance at the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games at Alexander Stadium.
His performance came as surprise to audiences as its no secret that the 73-year-old has been suffering health issues. His family has been supportive of the rock star through the pandemic and beyond.

Hide AdHis family and fans reacted to the iconic singer’s performance and it’s heartwarming. Sharon Osbourne shared a photo of herself with him backstage. In another photo, their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, posed with her parents.
Sharon thanked the Commonwealth Games and called it an “honour”.
His son, Jack Osbourne, tweeted a photo of his father saying: “Dad closing out the Commonwealth Games 2022 You can’t keep this man down.”
While wrapping up the show, the rock star said: “Thank you, good night, you are the best, God bless you all – Birmingham forever.”

Hide AdOne fan wrote on Sharon’s post on Instagram saying: “Wow was not expecting ozzy ending the common wealth games should of guessed glad he was well enough after op was a great suprise and what an ending 👏 well done ozzy #princeofdarkness was rocking with you.”


The Closing Ceremony performance was the first one for the Birmingham native, who hails from Aston, since his “life-altering” surgery earlier this year.
“The fact that Ozzy Osbourne is still alive, can stand up *and* perform is the greatest testament to the power of Birmingham,” said a fan on Twitter.
Another fan added: “Absolutely loved how we were taken on a journey through time with music. The look of surprise on everyone’s faces when Ozzy Osbourne suddenly appeared on stage was priceless. Well played @birminghamcg22”

Hide AdDexys Midnight Runners, Apache Indian, Musical Youth, UB40 and Panjabi MC also performed at the Closing Ceremony.
The Prince of Darkness is also going on tour in 2023. He will be performing in Nottingham, Manchester, London, Glasgow, Birmingham, and at other cities in the UK and Europe.
