Although most would argue Jack Grealish has earned himself a well-deserved break, he will represent England later this week in the EURO 2024 qualifying games. After starting almost every game under Pep Guardiola, Grealish has shown no signs of slowing down, after completing the treble with Manchester City, and capping things off with a hilarious three-day bender.

The Brummie winger is set to meet with the rest of the England squad at St George’s Park this evening (13 June) to prepare for the match against Malta this Friday (16 June) - according to Sky Sports. England manager Gareth Southgate will reportedly have Jack Grealish  and his City teammates assessed ‘physically and emotionally’ upon arrival, although they are only expected to play in the second match against North Macedonia on Monday (19 June).

This news will likely provide relief for Jack Grealish, who has put in an exceptional effort to maximise his three days of celebration with Manchester City. According to @City_Xtra on Twitter, the entire squad flew straight to Ibiza after lifting the Champions League trophy on Saturday 10 June. They then reportedly partied at a nightclub until 6:30am, before leaving at 10am to return back to Manchester for an open top bus parade.

A picture from the Man City fan account shows Grealish looking worse-for-wear the next morning, helped by teammate and fellow England international, Kyle Walker. Grealish was allegedly offered a wheelchair by airport staff upon arrival.

However, the former Villa captain showed his exceptional stamina, as he appeared to make a full recovery for the bus parade through Manchester City centre on Monday (12 June). One lucky City fan who was taking the tram to the parade, managed to bump into Grealish as he left the airport. He was still clearly elated with his team’s achievement, as the Solihull-born sensation danced shirtless, whilst quite rightfully looking immensely proud of himself.

Once he had successfully made it to the bus, Grealish live-streamed the event from his POV on Instagram live. Record breaking striker Erling Haaland was up to his usual tricks, as he interrupted the stream by pouring an entire bottle of champagne over his head. Grealish has spoken on several occasions about his close relationship with the Norwegian prodigy.

Although it has become somewhat fashionable to criticise professional athletes for consuming alcohol, fans have had a refreshing reaction to Grealish’s celebrations. Many have actually commended the England international for his commitment to a healthy balance between working hard and enjoying himself. One Twitter user said: “Grealish is a breath of fresh air. He is like a proper football fan that just happens to be playing at top level.” Another user added: “I really want to hate the guy but I just can't bring myself too... 😂”. An England supporter concluded: “Let him enjoy it for the next few days and then back to training for England”.
