Pair found guilty of running 'Rocket' drugs line between West Midlands and Scunthorpe

Two men facing jail for running drugs line.

Two men have been found guilty of supplying crack cocaine and heroin between Birmingham and Scunthorpe.

The County Lines Taskforce (CLTF) at West Midlands Police began investigating a drugs network known as the 'Rocket' line which operated across regions.

Mobile phones were used to advertise Class A drugs such as crack cocaine and heroin and available for sale in Scunthorpe.

CLTF officers identified the holder of the drugs line as Muhith Choudhury.

Choudhury was found to be concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, using several phone numbers to distribute messaging of crack and heroin being available.

The 25-year-old would send out bulk broadcast messages to a list of contacts offering drugs for sale.

A courier would then work to become the bridge to 'customers'.

The courier was found to be 20-year-old Kacper Fugas.

Both Choudhury and Fugas were arrested and subsequently charged.

After pleading not guilty at Birmingham Crown Court, the duo were found guilty of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine between January 2025 and January 2026 and being concerned in the supply of heroin between the same dates.

Choudhury, of Rookery Road, Handsworth, and Fugas, of Spencer Avenue, Scunthorpe, will be sentenced in September.

DC Larkin, from the police force’s CLTF, said: "This was a significant investigation into what was a highly active drugs line running between Birmingham and Scunthorpe.

"The duo had their individual roles in the running of the line. But, thanks to our investigative work, we were able to attribute them to their roles and following searches of addresses we located mobile phones linked to the drug dealing.

"Both men will now be spending time behind bars."
