The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, has left Hollywood behind and is back in his home country, his wife Sharon Osbourne has revealed.

Sharon, 71, announced in 2022 that the couple plan to move back home so Ozzy could have a "chance to live his life.”

She had said on their family podcast “The Osbournes" in September 2023 that she has been planning the move for four years. And, their plans have finally become a reality with the couple now in their countryside mansion in Buckinghamshire.

The former The Talk host revealed on Woman's Hour podcast that despite living in the US for more than 20 years, she's not an American and has missed the British culture and lifestyle.

Sharon told the Woman's Hour podcast: "It's home, it's always been home, I don't think I'm very American and I just feel more at home here. As we change over time, so do places. For me, personally, LA has changed - but not for the better. It's not what it used to be."

However, the primary reason for moving home is to let Ozzy live with some privacy. Sharon said: "Because, where we live in the countryside, it's not full of paps and you know, it's not a busy little town. We have a lot of land so he will be able to walk around and pursue his hobbies that he loves doing without being bothered."

Black Sabbath co-founder Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson's, he revealed in January 2020 during an interview on Good Morning America. He has other health woes as well since damaging his spine in a major accident four years ago.

He has gone through multiple surgeries since then but still hopes to perform live on stage one last time. He told the Rolling Stone magazine: "If I can’t continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, ‘Hi guys, thanks so much for my life.’ That’s what I’m working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I’ll die a happy man."

His journey has come a full circle as his career took off in the UK before he moved to the US but now, he's back on home soil. Sharon, who has been homesick and vocal about it for some time, is glad to be back for Christmas in the UK.

She said: "I mean look at it now - at Christmas time - it's magnificent here. It's so special and you go and have Christmas in LA - it's sunny, it's not festive, they have one dusty old father Christmas in a sleigh. It just isn't festive at all." However, she intends to travel between the two countries since her children and grandchildren are still based in the US.

Sharon has been spotted in Birmingham several times this year. From the opening night of the Black Sabbath ballet to Ozzy the Bull in Birmingham New Street Station - she made appearances on the special occasions to represent her husband. And she also announced an Ozzy Osbourne museum in his hometown to keep his legendary status alive for a long time.
