Hundreds turned up to welcome Ozzy the Bull to his new permanent home at Birmingham New Street following his reconstruction after the Commonwealth Games.

The Birmingham 2022 icon was named after Brummie Black Sabbath legend in a public poll which attracted thousands of votes.

Heavy metal star Ozzy also wowed the world with his surprise appearance at the Closing Ceremony of the West Midlands sporting spectacle. But he wasn’t in his home city for the return of Ozzy the Bull and has issued updates on his health as he lives with Parkinson’s Disease.

His loving wife Sharon was proud to attend the grand unveiling with Ozzy’s elder sister Jean. On seeing the bull unveiled she told ITV: “It’s just unbelievable, and what it’s done for Ozzy and his spirit and to know that people haven’t forgotten him and love him, as he loves everybody here, and as Ozzy says, it’s Birmingham forever!"

She added: "When we are all gone it will still be here, so for the next generation, our grandkids, when they grow up it will be passed along that pride to them."Of anything that Ozzy has ever been involved in, awards and things like that, this is the most important. This means more than any grammy or anything to him."

Following the big reveal in New Street - also attended by Mayor Andy Street and super heavy weight boxer Delicious Orie - Sharon was spotted in All Bar One at Birmingham New Street. Here are seven photos of her trip to All Bar One and Birmingham New Street:
