Fancy running a nightclub? One Birmingham venue is looking for a buyer

A nightclub in Birmingham is still on the market almost a year after going up for sale.

Bambu Nightclub in Wrottesley Street appeared on the Zoopla website in November 2022, but as of yet, the club still hasn’t found a buyer.

The lease of Bambu is currently available for £250,000.

But despite Bambu being on the market for a number of months, the club remains open and continues to hold events, including DJ sets. The club is also hosting a ‘Freshers Icebreaker Tour’ for the city’s university students on October 6.

It is the same nightclub where American rapper Chris Brown performed at in 2022, in July 2022, after appearing at the Wireless Festival.

The nightclub comes with a dance floor, a bar and two VIP lounges for an exclusive customer experience. The venue also has a terrace, bound to attract people during the warmer months.

It is also equipped with high specification DJ equipment, CCTV with multiple cameras, and an ID scanner linked with other clubs to help identify people who have been known to cause issues before.

One of the managers at Bambu clarified to BirminghamWorld in 2022 that the business is not looking to shut down the nightclub. It was put on sale for “business reasons”, she said and added that “the nightclub has been around for a long time and they were definitely not planning to close its doors”.
