Bambu nightclub in Birmingham City Centre is listed on multiple real estate aggregator sites. It is the same nightclub where controversial American rapper Chris Brown performed earlier this year, in July 2022, after appearing at the Wireless Festival.

The 1 Wrottesley St venue comes with a dance floor, a bar and two VIP lounges for an exclusive customer experience, a listing said. “Offers are invited to purchase the leasehold,” the listing on Zoopla said.

And one of the managers at Bambu clarified to BirminghamWorld that the business is not looking to shut down the nightclub. It was put on sale for “business reasons”, she said and added that “the nightclub has been around for a long time and they were definitely not planning to close its doors”.

The manager refused to comment on what those business reasons were citing it as “confidential”. They said that they were receiving enquiries about the sale of the venue. The manager further added that they have many events and artists lined up for the next year.

The club reopened in October 2021 after its license was suspended in September 2021. Two people were stabbed there, according to BBC. Two years prior to that, in June 2019, the club’s licence had been suspended after a man died at the venue, according to BBC.
