Win free coach travel for 50 years with National Express

West Midland’s largest coach operator is celebrating its 50th birthday by giving people a chance to win of free coach travel for half a century.

National Express - one of the largest in the UK - has been operating for half a century and to mark this huge milestone they are giving away a surprise prize every day for 50 days, including a 50 year pass allowing passengers to travel on its UK-wide network of coach services. They recently announced a change in their timetables in September.

From Thursday 25 August, individuals can enter a daily prize draw on the company’s website to be in with a chance of winning. The total prize pot is worth over £10,000 and includes annual cinema passes, restaurant and shopping vouchers, luxury gift hampers and an overnight break, as well as the exclusive 50 year travel pass.

When was National Express started?

While the operator has been running for half a century, National Express Group floated on London Stock Exchange in 1992. In 1995, they acquired West Midlands Travel, one of the UK’s largest bus companies. Since then, it has expanded globally.

In West Midlands alone, they have hundreds of bus routes and also cover the length and breadth of the UK.

What did the coach operator say?

The lucky winner can use our famous white fleet of modern coaches to see friends and family, visit attractions or attend events. And just think of the hundreds of destinations from Exeter to Edinburgh and Newquay to Newcastle they will be able to explore with National Express!”

Competition dates

The competition runs from Thursday 25 August 2022 and will close at midnight on Thursday 13th October 2022. Entrants will need to enter each day via an online entry form on the National Express website to win the surprise prize for that day.
