A post mortem on the body of a man found in a car at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, on Friday (22 April) has proved inconclusive, West Midlands Police said.

However, the examination did confirm there were no obvious signs of injury and no evidence to suggest the 56-year-old, from Kingstanding, had been assaulted.

Further tests will take place in due course which hopefully will explain what led to the man’s death.

Police arrested a 43-year-old man from Tamworth in connection with the investigation but he had now been released without charge.
