Hide AdFlights will commence from 13 April 2022 with direct flights from Birmingham Airport to Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Avignon, Belfast City, Brest, Edinburgh and Glasgow - offering up to 93 flights per week in peak season with more to be announced in the months ahead.
Flybe’s lowest fares in many UK domestic markets will start as low as £29.99*. To celebrate the first day of sales, Flybe will be offering a further GBP10 off all fares for purchases on 22 March only.
Flybe was taken over after collapsing in 2020. A former shareholder bought the airline’s remaining assets, later establishing a new headquarters in Birmingham.
The company had said the coronavirus outbreak and the downturn in demand for air travel was partly to blame for its collapse.

Flybe CEO, Dave Pflieger, said: “We are delighted to now be out for sale and starting services next month. We think our new flights will benefit everyone who wants low fares and more flights to go on holiday and visit loved ones. Our new network will also ensure better regional connectivity inside the UK and between various UK and EU regions.”
Pflieger added: “Our goal is to create an airline that people love, and we aim to do that by making air travel on Flybe an easy and enjoyable experience so you will fly with us again in the future. The new Flybe team has worked tirelessly over the past year to create an airline that delivers on price, schedule, and choice, and we look forward to having you book a ticket on flybe.com and start flying again next month, this summer, and in the many years ahead!”
Nick Barton, CEO, of Birmingham Airport said: “We welcome Flybe’s route announcement today of seven routes from Birmingham Airport for 2022. The airline will operate four domestic routes serving Aberdeen, Belfast City, Edinburgh and Glasgow and will restore connections to Avignon and Brest. These popular French routes will be a welcome addition to our leisure and business travellers and are currently unserved from Birmingham. Amsterdam will commence flying from late April.
“Flybe is showing its commitment to the Midlands and will base three Q400 aircraft at its headquarters here at Birmingham Airport and we hope to see this increase to five based Q400s from August. We have worked closely with the airline to offer our customers these popular routes, and currently unserved routes, and are delighted to welcome Flybe back as a partner airline here at Birmingham.”
