Several events and shops around the city and county have announced closures after the Queen died yesterday.
Birmingham’s City Council is taking multiple steps to pay tribute but the local businesses are also joining in to pay their respects to the longest-reigning monarch of the UK. The Queen’s funeral will be held this month at Westminster Abbey in central London on 19 September. Until then, a period of state mourning is being followed.
